Liverpool to Liverpool!!

Chelsea do a "Liverpool" to Liverpool...twice!! to reach the Champions League semifinals...coming back from a 0-1 deficit and clinching a 3-1 victory in the first leg was truly amazing...it almost closed the gate for Liverpool's outing in the Champions League this year,but then at the end of the day, they are Liverpool...a comeback to sting the blues at their home was very well anticipated and at the end of 1st half at stamford bridge in the second leg seemed like a perfectly scripted storyline called "the liverpool way of soccer"...going 2-0 up in the 1st half...with a smart free kick followed by a no-nonsense penalty saw the visitors go 2-0 up and it was almost over for the blues....Liverpool were in a murderous mood that day and seemed like they'd just run over the blues in the 2nd half as well..

but then, excitement was destined to get better and better with time, and at the end of the 2nd half what we witnessed could very well be called one of the best game ever...

2nd half saw chelsea on a goals rampage as they looked to save themselves from yet another "come back from behind" defeat at the hands of Liverpool...2 goals in quick succession...1 off a cross from anelka and a scorching free kick from Alex saw Chelsea making a come back...2-2  it was when alex sent the ball past the liverpool wall and Reina into the top right corner netting...Liverpool needed another 2 goals to go through given the fact they don't conceed any more goals....with Liverpool attacking more than before..one could sense that the blues would be happy to defend the game and go through on aggregate but they proved us wrong yet again....with the help of a couple of defending blunders from liverpool and the most devastative passing by chelsea, saw them score yet another goal...and the ticket to nou camp was almost booked!!...chelsea went 3-2 up in the 70th minute and it looked all over for the reds as they needed 3 more goals in the remaining 20 minutes...at such situations, the ticking clock could seem like a detonator that could blow up your head and that's exactly how Liverpool felt...to add to their miseries Gerrard was out with an injury....But there was more drama left in the game...it had to turn around all over again....Liverpool scored another goal, which went in off a deflection off Essien...3-3 in the 76th minute...2 more goals in 14 minutes...not impossible...and with the way liverpool attacked...it seemed like they'll just get through...Chelsea for a few crucial minutes looked a little vulnerable in defence...clearing the ball everytime they could.....and 81st minute saw kuyt head the ball past Cech and that was the nightmare every chelsea fan would have loved to skip...With 9 minutes to go...Liverpool needed 1 goal to knock the blues out...and it seemed like they would very well do it...But a magical play by chelsea in the mid by Chelsea saw them get past the solid liverpool defence ...and a neat pass from drogba saw Lampard put 1 past Reina...GAME OVER!!...4-4 in thr 84th minute....Jumping around in the house at 2:30 early in the morning is so much fun...that day it was euphoric!!!

This Cup is so going to be ours!!....Blue forever!!
